Hi there, my name is Geert Dijkstra and I'm living in beautiful Amsterdam. Knooiwark is the alias for the music I create. I've been playing guitar all my life and had a great time playing in all kind of bands during the 90ties.
Nowadays I make music on my own using self made instruments. Initially I started to build digital instruments using tools like Max MSP but more recently I really enjoy making physical instruments using stuff like wood, strings and diy electronics.
Besides all that I'm also into playing classical guitar, tai chi and gardening.
Knooiwark is a legendary yet very beautiful word from the local languague spoken in the North and Eastern part of the Netherlands. It can have several meanings:
